Leon Ridely – Born March 11,1969

Leon started carving on his own in November of 1988. Throughout the years he has worked with Chief 7idansu Jim Hart off and on and even went to California with Jim to carve a pole together. Leon prefers to work in wood and his work is incredibly detailed and refined.

Shop Haida Gwaii and its vendors make, work and live respectfully on the unceded territories of the Haida Nation. These territories include the entire lands of Haida Gwaii, the surrounding waters, sub-surface and the air space. The waters include the entire Dixon Entrance, half of the Hecate Straits, halfway to Vancouver Island and Westward into the abyssal ocean depths.
